Welcome to our first quarterly newsletter! We have had feedback from members that the preferred method of communication is through email as well as on social media. So here we are with this newsletter as a way to keep in touch with as many members as possible!
The 2022/2023 summer season has been off to a strong start with the first seven rounds already under our belts. We have kept everyone updated on each team's weekly scores on Facebook, or they can be found on PlayHQ under Ladybirds Netball Club. We have had a busy few months, officially getting our new uniforms on the court, having a few weeks of practising the new club chant, putting together our strategic plan and celebrating 50 years of the Ladybirds Netball Club (check out our TikTok video of the night here: http://bit.ly/3Ejiu9i)

50 year celebration
We recently celebrated our 50th year as a club with a full club party! We had a BBQ, cake, balloons and a raffle (congratulations to all winners). Big thank you to all who attended and assisted in making this a great night for the club. Thanks to Bakery 77 for the cake and Jodielee Photography for the photos of the night. We hope to hold many more full club events at training in the future. It was great to celebrate with you all, here is to 50 more years!
Photo Night
Summer photo night will be on Thursday 8th December at SUNA
Online orders MUST be placed in advance of your photo session to ensure Brand Sports Designs take the necessary photos to fulfil the correct orders.
For example, if an INDIVIDUAL photo is ordered, this will include a photo of the player with the ball.
The online store can be accessed by following these steps:
1. Access the website www.brandsportsdesigns.com.au
2. Select ‘order photos' from the menu
3. Click on the ‘club logo’ tab
4. Choose your preferred photos
5. Enter the player's first & last name and select your team from the drop-down menu (important: ensure the athlete’s name is input correctly, as this is what will appear on the photo).
6. Add to cart
7. Proceed to checkout and payment
Note:
- Individual portrait photos are 6 x 9 inch and landscape team photos are 12 x 8 inch
- If you intend to frame your photos then laminating is not recommended.

Christmas break-up
Come along to celebrate the end of the year with the Ladybirds Netball Club! Sunday the 11th of December we will be having a picnic and games at Wilfred Taylor Reserve starting at 12:30 pm. BYO food, drinks and picnic blanket. The club will provide some shade and games for all ages!
The week of the 12th of December will be the last round of games for the year, training will start back on the 12th of January and the week of the 16th of January will be the first week back at games.
Lil' Ladybirds
After a very successful Lil' Ladybirds program in winter 2022, we are bringing it back for 2023! Starting on the 2nd of February 2023, players aged 4-8 are encouraged to come out to SUNA and give netball a go. This six-week program runs on Thursday nights from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm. For only $25 participants will get a Lil' Ladybirds t-shirt (pictured), a netball and a medal at the conclusion of the program. Please pass this on to anyone you know who is interested in trying out netball, the link to register will open on the 1st of January 2023 and close on the 2nd of February.
